Thanks to the support and collaboration with the Roosevelt Island Operating Committee (RIOC), the PS/IS PTA is proud to manage the Roosevelt Island Farmers Market every Saturday.
Regular Vendors include: Wengerd Farms (fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, limited meat, and dairy products) Hoboken Farms (variety of fresh specialty breads, pasta sauce, poultry, meats, seafood, and dairy products) Vesco (pickles and olives) Kitchen 36 (homemade soup) Ibari (African art products/dry food)
Additionally, the NYC Compost Project hosted by Big Reuse operates an organic waste recycling station - accepting food and kitchen scraps that are developed into compost for use in NYC street tree beds, community gardens, and local parks.
Food waste can be dropped at the recycling station at the Farmers Market between 9am-2:30pm every Saturday.
