WE NEED YOU! PTA IS RUN BY VOLUNTEERS - BE A PART OF OUR TEAM!

The success of all PS/IS 217 PTA events relies on
VOLUNTEER POWER!  ​

We need people who can help our Event committees fulfill all the tasks that are critical to ensuring an event runs smoothly.  All participation is on an opt-in basis, please let us know if you would be willing to assist in any way - no matter how small!  Here are some examples of things that you can help with:

Prior to an Event:

• Making decorations, games, or posters
• Researching prices for catering/entertainment
• Purchasing approved supplies (reimbursable with receipts)
• Driving to Costco for approved supplies (reimbursable with receipts)
• Writing up information for a flyer
• Designing a flyer
• Helping collect forms/pre-paid ticket money at school drop-offs.
• Helping print out information sheets for activities or stations
• Packaging prizes
• Soliciting donations from local businesses/vendors

At an Event:

• Helping put up decorations
• Cutting and preparing donated snacks, fruit salads etc.
• Signing people into the event/making door sales
• Supervising a game or activity
• Helping volunteers set up tables and stations
• Record winners of a race/activity/raffle etc
