Q1: What's your favorite thing about PS/IS 217?
Even though this is my first year as a head teacher, I have been in many schools in several places. I must say this is the best school I have been in! The closeness and collaboration that the teachers have in our school has not been seen any where else I have visited. The support and guidance given from my colleagues is extraordinary and invaluable.
Q 4: What was your favorite subject when you were in elementary school?
My favorite subject when I was in elementary school was writing. I always looked forward to writing time and even had my own journal that I wrote in every single night before bed about my day! I even did it on summer vacation in sleep away camp!
Q 5: How do you get to school each day?
I get to school by the tram. I walk to the tram from my New York City apartment and ALWAYS stop for coffee. Then, I take the red bus to school. When it gets even nicer, maybe I'll walk instead of taking the bus!
Q8: What did you do over summer vacation?
I have worked every summer at a summer school. However, this summer I plan on taking classes.
Q10: What is your favorite event at PS/IS 217?
So far, I would have to say my favorite event would be the 100th day of school. It really shows off our creativity and collaborative environment! I know the children love it too!
