217's Spring Auction is right around the corner and is historically our biggest fundraising event of the school year. Funds raised help us purchase technology, teacher training seminars, enrichment for our students (dance and music classes), outfit our new rooftop garden, and more. Our auction goes LIVE April 1! DONATE AN AUCTION ITEM: Have a weekend home you can offer a getaway? Work in TV or theater and can offer tickets and backstage tour? Tickets to a sporting event? Are you a photographer and can offer a photo package? Jewelry maker? Own or know someone that owns a restaurant, or business and can provide a gift card? Our Read-a-Thon is soon ending, and we have our 4th and final weekend challenge -- a surprise double challenge!
All students who raise $10 + read 30 min (or more!) are entered into a raffle -- ONE WINNER -- to join in a MarioKart-style scooter race against the opponent of their choice!

Email: Team217info@gmail.com Starting on Monday, December 20th, and operating through Friday, December 24th, the New York City Health + Hospital (NYCHH) Mobile COVID Testing & Vaccination Unit will be located at Good Shepherd Plaza (543 Main Street).
Operating Hours 12/20-12/23 8am - 6pm 12/24 8am - 2pm PCR and Rapid Antigen tests will be available. Rapid Antigen results can be expected within 20 minutes while PCR results will take longer. Vaccines and Boosters First and second shot vaccinations, including Pfizer 12 years+ and Johnson & Johnson 18 years+ as well as boosters will be available. Services are offered at no cost, no insurance is needed, and appointments are not necessary as the unit operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please be sure to bring proper ID and your existing vaccination card, if you have one. Live interpretation services will be available. Bring in a non-perishable food item for the MSTDA FOOD DRIVE and receive 1 FREE STUDENT TICKET for Saturday, Dec 11 (2pm & 7pm) and Sunday, Dec 12 (5pm). To receive your free ticket, purchase at least ONE general admission ticket for the show you wish to see then email info@mstda.org to request your FREE TICKET. We must have an email from you at least 1 hour before the show to ensure you get a seat! Bring your food item to the drop off location in the lobby at the time of the show.

It is a first come first-serve, free of charge, no need to provide insurance card to get tested. Thank you to Rick O'Connor, PS/IS 217 member, Susy Del Campo, and all others who led this initiative to bring back COVID testing to Roosevelt Island!! |
