Our Book Fair has a DIGITAL PAYMENT option!

Scholastic has introduced a new way for students to pay at the book fair!

We will still accept credit cards and cash payments in-person, but parents now also have the option of setting up an online account for each child to use! No more struggling to find cash on the day of the book fair - and no fear of them losing it either!

Set up your account here: www.scholastic.com/bf/psis217rooseveltis

Additional Details
  • You must create an eWallet for each student; accounts cannot be shared or transferred.
  • When you create an eWallet, the amount you select as your student's spending limit will appear as a temporary hold (or pending charge) on your credit card and will be reflected in your available balance. You will only be charged for what is purchased, and after the book fair ends, the hold will expire and the funds will be released back to your credit card.
  • Please let your classroom teacher and child know that they have an eWallet account!
  • Additional funds can be added to the eWallet at any time. You can also cancel funds. Track spending and see all activity in your order history through your MyScholastic account.
  • Student eWallets are looked up at the book fair using the student's name, grade, or teacher; eWallets do not have to be printed or presented to a cashier.
  • If any items purchased during the fair are returned, the amount will be credited back to your card. Processing times may vary. Contact your credit card company for specific information regarding your account.

Save the date... and lend a hand! It's time to get ready for the                        Spring Fling & Silent Auction!

1/15/2018

The PTA's 2018 Spring Fling & Silent Auction is coming up on Saturday March 24, from 4-7 p.m.

This will be a fun family event, with a dance, food & great shopping - we already have JetBlue ticket vouchers, Carnegie Hall tickets, and many other items secured!! Last year the PTA raised approximately $19,000 at the auction, which helps enable the PTA pay for our school's enrichment programs, as well as supporting the science program, school library, and many other programs!

But we need your help! Here are ways to get involved:

CLASS BASKETS & PROJECTS
We are asking all parents to contribute to create class baskets, which will be sold at the silent auction. Your class parent will be in touch with you shortly with more information.

DONATIONS FOR THE AUCTION
Donations for the auction can be anything - services, tickets, jewelry, designer handbags, a week or weekend in a vacation home, a gift certificate, etc.
  • Please consider what you or your network might be able to contribute! Some of the very best donations come from the community.
  • Please use the forms below when you ask for donations - it is easy and quick. (And the worst thing that will happen is that they politely say no!)
  • All donations are tax-deductible, and donors will be recognized in our online auction catalog, which will be viewed by hundreds of members of the PS/IS 217 school community.

VOLUNTEERING
We need volunteers to help plan the dance, solicit items, and to help run this fun event. To get involved, please contact
pta217auction@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support! We look forward to seeing you at the auction!!
