The time of the September 4th School meeting about classroom organization has been moved up to 8 AM in order to accommodate parents' work schedules. This meeting will be held in the auditorium, located on the second floor.
Principal Beckman will be meeting with families at 9am on Wednesday, September 4th to discuss changes to the organization of classes in the Lower School.
Due to school budget and enrollment issues, the administration has created a section of bridge classes, which will include children from both First and Second grades. At the meeting on September 4th, Principal Beckman will outline the budget issues that the school is facing, how they impact the operations of the school, and the logistics of the bridge classes.

If you have not already started "voting" in Target's online program for school fundraising, please go to the page for PS/IS 217 and start!
Once we get 25 votes, our PTA will receive $25 from Target - every additional vote after that will add a dollar to our total. Target has pledged to give up to $10,000 per school based on the votes it receives throughSeptember 21. You can vote once a week - so please keep voting until the deadline.
This money will go directly into the PTA account and will help us pay for the enrichment programs that serve our kids in school as well as the fun family events that we host throughout the year - like the Back-To-School Picnic on September 7th that we hope everyone will attend.
This Friday is the last day to order your school supply packs from the PTA - place your order now and let us do all the work for you! We will purchase all the supplies on your child's class supply list and deliver them to the classroom before school starts - and your child will receive one of our great new school t-shirts on the first day of class.
This is a great way to support the PTA - please place your order today!
