There will be no evening or Saturday programming for the duration of Spring Break, but will resume once Spring Break is over. Information about Spring Break Camp available HERE. The Roosevelt Island Center for Community Development, the Child Center of NY (The Beacon at 217), and RBI are joining forces to put on the spring season of Little League.

Beacon will be open for Spring Break from Friday March 30 - April 6 from 9AM-5PM. On Monday April 2nd there is a possibility that BEACON WILL BE CLOSED DUE TO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING provided by The Child Center of NY and our funders DYCD. We will notify families as soon as possible.
Also, if your child will not be able to attend the 6 days of Spring Break, please inform us which days they will attend as we are finalizing staffing needs and capacity requirements. * We will have three dismissal times, 2:45, 3:45 and 4:30. The Spring Break camp will be more recreational based as the camps have been before. * We will offer a breakfast and lunch but still recommend that you pack a snack as it is a longer day. * We have a capacity for 50 students. As part of 217’s Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) program, 217 is excited to announce February's PBIS award recipients! The PBIS awards for February go to elementary students in each class who exemplified TOLERANCE.
Each month, as the PBIS curriculum highlights different core values - and awards will be presented to students who best embody and exemplify these traits.
